Admission process

  1. Check eligibility — minimum KJSEA score of 65 marks, good conduct from the previous school, and meeting age requirements.

  3. Selection & placement — applications are reviewed by the admission committee, considering academic performance, talent and leadership; successful candidates are notified.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum KJSEA score for admission?

The minimum KJSEA score for consideration is 65 marks. Because of high demand, the actual cut-off may be higher depending on the number of applications. We also consider leadership potential and co-curricular involvement.

How are students selected for admission?

Selection combines KJSEA performance (70%), recommendation from the previous primary/junior secondary school (15%), performance in co-curricular activities (10%), and special talents or circumstances (5%). The admission committee reviews all applications holistically.

Can I apply for a transfer from another school?

Yes, subject to availability of vacancies. Transfer students must have excellent academic records, good conduct and valid reasons for transfer. The process includes assessment of previous school reports and an interview.

What is the school fee structure?

School fees are determined by the Ministry of Education and vary by year. The complete fee structure is provided in the admission package and published on the downloads page when available.

Are scholarships or bursaries available?

The school offers limited scholarships and bursaries to academically excellent students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Applications for financial aid must be submitted with the admission application and include supporting documents.

What are the reporting dates for new students?

Reporting dates are communicated in the admission letter. Grade 10 students typically report in early January, while transfer students report at the beginning of the term.
